Saplings planted

Mangaluru: A drive to plant saplings was held at the Panambur Beach under the ageis of Coast Guard district headquarters (Karnataka) and Axis Bank on Saturday. A total 200 personnel from the Indian Coast Guard and Axis bank participated in the event. Commandant R Balbir Singh, executive officer, Coast Gaurd district HQ, emphasised the importance of planting saplings for the community, and that this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness among the public about the environment and conservation. tnn
