Sandalwood buddies Apurva Kasarvalli and Manohar Joshi’s monsoon sojourn in Subramanya

Sandalwood buddies Apurva Kasarvalli and Manohar Joshi’s monsoon sojourn in Subramanya
Two luxury bikes and one car. Thus began one memorable journey on a rainy Monday morning for Sandalwood director Apurva Kasaravalli and ace cinematographer Manohar Joshi. Accompanied by their respective wives Vandana and Anusha, the group of four chose to head to the temple town of Surbramanya in Dakshina Kannada. “Apurva and I have been friends for a while now. Though we haven’t worked on a film together, our passion for travel binds us. Ever since the monsoons arrived, we had been planning to go on a long drive and what better destination to experience the true splendour of the season than the misty mountains and ghats?” asks Manohar. Subramanya was the ideal choice and since Apurva recently tied the knot with Vandana, it was also the first spiritual trip of their marital life Co-incidentally, both Apurva’s wife and Manohar’s wife are classical dancers. “And it was sheer bliss to feel the raindrops on your face and go down the winding roads. At Subramanya, the roads were literally overflowing with water, so it was truly challenging for a rider. This trip, though short, was the most memorable. Monsoons are best experienced on mountains. We have already planned more such trips during this season,” sums up Manohar.
