Rowdy-sheeter hacked to death

Mangaluru: A

rowdy-sheeter

was

hacked

to death by four unknown persons, who came on two scooters on Thursday.

The incident took place at the Emmekere grounds in

Mangaluru South police station limits

at 5.50 pm. The deceased is Rahul alias Kakke,26, from Hoige Bazar. He is suspected to have been attacked using helmets, knives and swords, said DCP (law and order) Hariram Shankar. The accused was involved in several cases. An old rivalry is suspected to be the reason for the murder. City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar and other senior officials have visited the spot.
