Roller skating contest for school children

MANGALORE: City-based Mangalore Roller Skating Club is organising the 10th Inter-school roller skating championship here on Saturday and Sunday.
Praveen Kumar, president of the club stated that this competition is being organised to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the club. There will be two events in the competition -- rink race and road race.
Road race will be held on Sunday near Kadri Park.This race will be flagged off by Niranjan Raj Urs, circle inspector of Kadri police station. Rink race will be held on Saturday and Sunday evening at skating rink near Kadri Park. Rink race will be inaugurated by Krishna Palemar, district minister. More than 200 skaters from 26 school of the district have already registered.
