Mangaluru: The Bantwal traffic police station celebrated the National Road Safety Week from January 11 to 17, in a unique way. Traffic sub-inspector Murthy said that the teams tried to spread awareness on road safety and traffic rules to be followed by the public.
“We organised awareness programmes by going to schools and colleges, and reaching out to autorickshaw and taxi drivers. As part of this awareness drive, two-wheeler riders found without helmet or four-wheeler drivers found without seatbelts, were stopped and given roses, and informed about the importance of following traffic rules, “ he said.
