President elected for MU students' association

MANGALORE: Borris Braggs Prabhu of Rosario Management College has been elected president of Mangalore University All College Students Association (MUACSA) for 2011-12 here on Saturday. Dinakar Shetty, advocate was the election officer. Ganesh Rao, chairman, Karavali group of institutions inaugurating the function advised students to become an independent entity sans political affiliations and play a constructive role in nation building.
Surendra of University College, Mangalore, was elected working president, Shobhith Shetty of Gokarnanatha College, Kudroli, the general secretary. Five students were elected vice-presidents, three as secretaries, two as joint secretaries, four as organising secretaries, Prajwal B of Adarsh College as treasurer, three as cultural secretaries, four as sports secretaries, Sagar of Sree Devi College as convener, and two as co-conveners, a MUACSA release states.
