Pilibail Yamunakka set for December 9 release

is all set for December 9 releases. Produced under the banner of

Lakumi Cine Creations

, the film according to its director revolves around reasons why

human lives

, their desires and how these have their run in a familial situation. It is also a break from time tested formula followed in the industry with dollops of comedy and a project borne out of desire to give people something out of the run of mill stuff.

Having tasted success with their first offering in

Ekka Sakka

, the banner has retained nearly 90% of the cast and crew in making Pilibail Yamunakka that features Chandrakala Mohan of

Putta Gowri Madhuve serial

fame in the lead role. Pruthvi Ambar is paired opposite Sonal Monteiro in this film of 140 minutes duration, says director Suraj Shetty, who also directed the earlier movie of the banner and produced by Rohan Shetty's Sri Durga Entertainment.

On reasons for taking up to 18-months to come up with this offering, Suraj told reporters that it is important to focus on quality in all aspects of movie making and give cine goers an experience they will relish. This is also one of the reasons why the producers agreed to shift the focus of the movie from the time tested formula of outright comedy to one that gives a message to all, he said, adding the film is a

family entertainer

without mindless violence or vulgarity.

The film will be released in a dozen theatres in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts including standalone theatres and multiplexes, noted Kishore D Shetty of Lakumi Cine Creation. Film will be screened in other centres at a later date. "We want to have at least 40 shows in city each day initially to attract discerning cine goers," he said. Film's melodious music including Mayakadonji Ponnagali Beejunduge sung by Patla Satish Shetty will captivate audience, he added.
