Officials raid four houses, seize 59 LPG cylinders

UDUPI: A team of officials from food and civil supplies department led by Udupi tahsildar raided four houses at Hiriyadka on Monday and seized 59 illegally stored LPG cylinders including 40 empty ones.
The team led by tahsildar Maheshchandra conducted raids on the houses of Raghupaty Udupa, Nagaraj Bhat, Devdas Marate and Srinivas Rao following a tip off from Yogeshwar, deputy director, food and civil supplies and recovered cylinders belonging to HP company.
A case has been registered at Hiriyadka police station.
