MANGALURU: Land of Aishwarya Rai is beckoning more Kudla girls to try themselves out in the demanding world of Sandalwood for starters. While Meghana Soans already has a Tulu film Barke under her belt, Anusha Hegde, an upcoming software engineer is paired with Meghana and Rathan Kottari as the lead in upcoming Kannada film NH 37 that is being produced under the banner of Asif Films.
NH 37 is the maiden Kannada film for both Meghana and Anusha.
Described as an out and outright commercial film and a wholesome family entertainer by director Harshavardhan, NH 37 he says will provide the launch pad these talented actors need. The whole film revolves round these new comers and has been shot extensively in locations in Dakshina Kannada district, Harshavardhan avers. “The NH 37 team has honestly tried to bring out a family entertainer with local actors and mix of thrill, horror and even comedy,” he says.
Thankful to the support extended by her boss V Ravichandran, CEO of Diya Systems Pvt Ltd, Anusha says, “Acting is tougher compared to work. Here were are carrying the hopes and aspirations of an entire team that has invested its faith in us and have invested in us as well.” Work is implementation of knowledge gained in classrooms and applying things learnt on the job. Both work and acting profession can be quite exacting when it comes to results, she adds.
Featuring six actors in the lead including Meghana and Anusha, NH 37 also features Vikram Krishnan, Devaraj, and Pradeep carrying fortunes of the film with Rathan. With post-production work presently on, Harshavardhan is looking at an early January release for this film. The first offering of the banner to Sandalwood, Harshavardhan says the film revolves around what happens when one inadvertently deals with a stolen car and how it affects their lives.
