The group has suggested that the road from Kadri Park to Lalbagh be named after him. “The work should have started earlier, but it was not possible due to the pandemic. We have just started the preparations, and will approach the Mangaluru City Corporation, people’s representatives and state government, urging to name the road after George Fernandes. There is a saying that great leaders are not rightly honoured in their native place.
