Motorcyclist killed in accident

MANGALORE: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving two motorcycles at Kasba village in Puttur taluk on Monday. Personnel of Puttur traffic police station, where a case of fatal road accident has been registered, identified the victim as Govinda Prasad. He sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. The other motorcyclist Shashi Kumar was injured.
Burglary
Burglars gained entry into the residence of Abbas, a resident of Kasaba village in Bantwal taluk by breaking open the front door lock and decamped with gold ornaments and charger lights. The loss is put at Rs 1.25-lakh. A case of burglary has been registered in Vittala police station.
