Mangaluru: Autorickshaw driver Purushotham Poojary,59, who sustained burns in the cooker blast, was discharged from hospital on Saturday.
According to Dr Uday Kumar K, medical superintendent, Father Muller Medical College Hospital, he has recovered completely, and has been discharged.
His family was happy to receive him home, after spending more than a month in the hospital.
Poojary was treated for burns, after a cooker blast was reported in his moving autorickshaw on November 19. According to his family, the doctors have asked him to remain indoors for at least a month, to avoid infection.
Meanwhile, Gurubeladingalu Foundation led by R Padmaraj, who is also the treasurer of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, is undertaking the repair of his house, and hence the family has moved to a rented premise.
