Mangaluru fuel station offers customers buttermilk to beat the heat

MANGALURU: With temperature soaring in coastal districts, a fuel station in Mangaluru has come up with a novel idea to help its customers beat the heat.
Customers queuing up in front of the fuel station can quench their thirst by sipping unlimited cups of buttermilk.

Shivanand Prabhu of Prabhu Service Station on Balmatta-Kankanady road came up with the unique idea on grounds that buttermilk is healthier than aerated drinks.
Mangaluru recorded a maximum of 37 degree C on Wednesday.
