MANGALURU: Tauseef Ahmed, founder of Mr Rescuer, has launched Project Suraksha, a pet first aid kit distribution programme for all police stations within the city limits.
The campaign was launched on Friday by handing over the first kit to city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar at his office. So far, he has distributed both pet and human first aid kits to ten police stations.

Each kit costs around Rs 550, Tauseef said.
“This project is dedicated to police. The city police have been supportive whenever there is an issue over animal rights. Every single time there was an animal cruelty case, we have had the best of support. Not just this, if anyone has ever visited any police station, one will find dogs, cats, cows being fed and taken care of by the staff there. There are several instances of police staff feeding stray animals,” he said.
The first aid kit for pets includes antiseptic creams, spray, gauze and cotton.
