Make cath lab at Wenlock operational immediately: DC

Mangaluru: Deputy commissioner Darshan HV instructed that the cath lab unit, constructed at the Wenlock District Hospital to provide advanced cardiac treatment, be made operational soon. He presided over a meeting of the Arogya Raksha Samiti at the Wenlock hospital on Thursday.A well-equipped cath lab has been built on the ground floor of Wenlock Hospital's new surgical building, with modern medical equipment, specialist doctors, and technical staff provided by KMC, ready for full operation. He instructed the Wenlock hospital superintendent to take steps to make the cath lab available to the public at the earliest.The construction of a new dialysis ward with a capacity of 35 beds at the hospital was completed. Minor necessary works need to be finished. He also directed the timely completion of the Wenlock critical care block.The DC directed the commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) to take swift action on the widening work of the Wenlock Hospital-Milagres road. He also directed regular checks to ensure doctors are attending their duties properly at the Wenlock Hospital.
