Arbi Falls attracts tourists during monsoon. At around 2.30pm, four of them decided to take selfies near the waterfalls when Sudesh and Bharat accidentally slipped and fell into the water.
Bharat was lucky and managed to swim back safely, but Sudhesh is feared drowned. Taluk officers, including Tahsildar and executive officer, have rushed to the spot. Fire and Emergency services personnel were pressed into action.
About 150 people are assisting in the search operation. It was only recently that a youth who was trying to click a selfie from atop a roadside falls on Charmadi Ghat fell from a height of nearly 150 feet after he lost his balance.
