It will be vote for development, Hindutva locally, national issues nationally: Sunil Kumar
MANGALURU: The upcoming general election will be as much a vote for 5-years of pro-people rule of PM Narendra Modi nationally as well as development and
Inaugurating BJP election office of DK parliamentary constituency candidate and incumbent MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sunil, election in-charge for DK parliamentary constituency said general election is one of national and not local issues. In Karnataka, people have seen how BJP despite winning 104 seats in state assembly was kept out from power and how the coalition is ruling Karnataka vis-à-vis benefits of majority government at the centre.
Asserting that India needs a majority government even in 2019, Sunil said the gains of 2014 polls has translated in the stand India has taken on national security issues such as cross border terrorism ending in the recent air strike at Balakot. The mahaghatbandhan on the other hand is only ganging up with the sole agenda of defeating Modi and not with one single plan for the nation’s development and its long term future in mind, he said.
Launching a political broadside against Congress candidate Mithun Rai without naming him, Sunil said, “(Mithun) In social media posts reported in media that he would ban Sangh Parivar and its affiliate Bajrang Dal if he came to power. What your seniors couldn’t do, how will you (a newbie) do so? Bajrang Dal will come back with renewed vigour in its activities post elections which will be fought on Hindutva and development plank.”
Noting that he was a mere general secretary of the district unit when the party first decided to field him in 2009, Nalin said in the past two terms as MP, he has always worked keeping in mind party interest along with interests of people of his constituency. Nalin exhorted the party workers to virtually be the face of PM Modi, party chief Amit Shah and that of himself when they go out in to the field canvassing votes for BJP in the next 28-days.
Nalin later accompanied by Sunil Kumar, senior BJP leader and former MLC K Monappa Bhandary, BJP district unit president and Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor and nomination pramukh and advocate Purushottam Bhat went to DCs office where the incumbent MP submitted his nomination papers to district returning officer and DC Sasikanth Senthil S. R Venkatachalapathy, additional DC and additional DRO was present.

agenda locally, Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar said. India has seen the benefits of having a majority government rule at the centre, impact it has on decision making process and how it has facilitated the ease with which national and foreign policies are framed and implemented, he said.Inaugurating BJP election office of DK parliamentary constituency candidate and incumbent MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sunil, election in-charge for DK parliamentary constituency said general election is one of national and not local issues.
