In another personal setback, DV Sadananda Gowda loses his brother DV Bhaskar
MAGALURU:
Sadananda Gowda told TOI that Bhaskar was down with jaundice five months ago and was undergoing treatment. Bhaskar is survived by wife Veena and three children, Gowda said adding the final rites were performed at the family property at Devaragunda in Sullia.
Incidentally, Savithri Shivarama Gowda, younger sister of Sadandanda Gowda, and then sitting zilla panchayat member had passed away in October 2014, following a battle with cancer. His mother Kamala too had passed away within a week of Savithri’s death, doubling the grief for the minister, who was then was holding the coveted portfolio of railways. People from various strata of life condoled the death of Bhaskar.

. Bhaskar, 56, was an advocate by profession. Sadananda Gowda broke the news through a tweet that said: “Sorry to inform. My brother Mr Baskar ended hislife journey
today. Sad that the minister lost his younger brother but his insistence at the KMC to pay in old currency is not right. He is a central minister and did not know the government decision. KMC was right in refusing to accept the old notes.. The minister could have got his brother''s body out on credit and paid later. KMC would have certainly helped the minister.Read allPost comment
