Abhijith had arrived in the city along with his father Devkumar Dey and other family members on July 27. After landing at

Mangaluru International Airport

, they hired a vehicle to go to

Manipal

for Abhijith’s admission at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). On the way, they had stopped the vehicle near Kuloor for a tea break. When the family members were having tea, Abhijith went to have a smoke and never returned. His phone was switched off from that time and his parents searched for him in all nearby places.

Abhijith, a BCom graduate, had planned to pursue his masters at MAHE. After he went missing, his brother Debjith came to the city. He along with his parents went around various places to find Abhijith, but in vain.

A missing case has been registered with the Kavoor police.
