MANGALORE: Hosabettu Mogaveera Vidya Sangha will celebrate its diamond jubilee for two days at Hosabettu village near here from Friday. Pundalik Hosabettu, president of the Sangha, told reporters here on Tuesday that the Sangha has organized a folk dance competition for competitors from Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada on Friday. The top three teams will receive cash prizes and attractive prize scrolls.
The computers donated by the Sangha to D K ZP Higher Primary School will also be dedicated on this occasion.

District in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar will inaugurate the diamond jubilee celebration function later in the day. Lakshman Suvarna, honorary president of the Sangha will preside. This will be followed by 'Vismaya Magic display' by national magic award winner Kudroli Ganesh and his troupe, he noted.
The Sangha will also dedicate a 'Bala Vana' to be set up at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh on December 26. Naveen Kumar, president, Rotary Port Town will inaugurate it. The renovated building 'Seva Sadana' too will be inaugurated on this occasion. Arvind H, advocate, Mumbai High Court will release 'Vajra Dundbhubi 2009', a souvenir to commemorate the event. Mayor Shankar Bhat will inaugurate the valedictory function.
