Dharmasthala Case: Probe reveals truth that we did no wrong, says Heggade

Mangaluru: Devotees, including many women, on Friday offered a special prayer at Dharmasthala, affirming that those who made false accusations and conspired against the temple were punished by the Lord Annappa Swamy, Lord Manjunatha Swamy, and Ullalthi. Devotees offered coconuts in front of the Dharmasthala temple, and proceeded in a procession to Annappa Swamy's hill.From there, the procession then moved to Amruthavarshini, where the Sahasra Lalitha Panchakshari Nama was recited. During a meeting held by the Dharmasthala Hitharakshana Samiti on March 27, prayers were offered at the sanctum of Annappa Swamy and Manjunatha Swamy, seeking punishment for those spreading false propaganda against the temple. Now, all false propaganda against the temple is being exposed.Addressing the gathering, the dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, D Veerendra Heggade said that the love and trust of the locals and devotees have kept us alive. "This has inspired us to organise more programmes and serve better. For some time, continuous accusations and hatred were directed at the temple. I still don't know the reason for this. However, the ongoing govt investigation is revealing the truth, and it shows that we committed no mistakes," he said.Many have visited the temple and expressed their support. May the love and trust remain, he added."I was reading a work by the Siddaganga mutt swami, who praised the Dharmasthala's mass marriages and various projects. It brought me great joy. I am merely an instrument for such servicess through the temple. With the blessings of Manjunatha Swamy and the support of family and well-wishers, we were able to successfully lead various programmes for the development of locals," he stated.Hemavathi V Heggade, Harshendra Kumar, and others were present.
