Dakshina Kannada to provide transport facility to SSLC students from Kerala-Karnataka border
MANGALURU: Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada K V Rajendra has directed the DDPI K Sudhakar to reserve two vehicles at Talapady, for SSLC students coming from Kerala.
This direction comes in the wake of industry and trade bodies calling for a two-day general strike from Monday due to which public transport facilities are likely to be hit.
Chairing a SSLC preparedness meeting held on Sunday, the DC directed officials to follow the government circular dated March 25. He also clarified that SSLC candidates of private schools where Hijab is a part of their compulsory uniform are allowed to write with Hijab.
However, the rule does not apply to other school candidates where Hijab is not part of their school uniform.
