Siddaramaiah has accepted his resignation and said that an investigation will be initiated to bring the truth to light. Truth needs to be uncovered through an enquiry,” Umashree said.
She said the probe is neither in support nor against anyone, but it is just to bring facts to light. To a query as to whether CID, which is a state investigation agency, can bring facts to light, Umashree said the CID is capable of doing it.
“Our officials of CID wing are competent enough to take up an unbiased investigation. I don’t believe that they will submit a report in favour of any person,” she added. TNN
