Beach fest postponed due to nat’l mourning

Mangaluru: Following the passing away of former PM Manmohan Singh and the government's announcement of a seven-day mourning period, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has postponed a beach festival, which was scheduled to take place at Tannirbhavi Beach on Saturday and Sunday.
The beach festival was part of the month-long Karavali Utsava. The district administration mentioned that the new dates for the festival will be announced soon.
The festival was set to feature a live concert by Manikanth Kadri and a performance by Raghu Dixit on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, the administration had made arrangements for food stalls and adventure water sports.
