Avoid sharing old video of minor: Dakshina Kannada SP Dr Vikram Amathe

MANGALURU: Dakshina Kannada district police have appealed to the public not to share an old video of a minor being thrashed. Dakshina Kannada SP Dr Vikram Amathe issued a clarification after the video of an incident being reported at the Subrahmanya police station resurfaced.
The SP stated on Sunday that action will be taken against those who post old videos on social media without checking their veracity.
With reference to the video that is being shared on social media, the SP said that the incident occurred in the year 2021, and the police had taken action against 10 persons and a chargesheet was submitted before the court.
