MANGALURU: Guests at a hotel here made sure they got value for their room rent by stealing a 32 inch LED TV on Monday.
According to a complaint lodged by hotel manager Santosh Moras, a person who identified himself as Bhanuchander, with address given as Thottamveedu, Chittor, Andhra Pradesh had checked in at the hotel on April 10 at 9am. The person had come with another person and they were checked in to Room 111.

The duo left the room at 9.45am and came back at 7 pm and had their dinner in the room. They left at 9.45pm with a large bag and when the staff inquired, Bhanuchander said that he was leaving his friend to Udupi and would be back. When he did not come till Monday, the staff opened the room with master key only to find that the 32 inch LED Panasonic TV missing from the room.
The hotel staff said the person bought a duffel bag and may have used it to take the TV. Police said the mobile number used for booking the hotel and photostat Aadhar card, which, may be fake, may give some clues about the accused.
Mangaluru North Police have registered the case.
