2 killed in accidents

MANGALORE: Two pedestrians Shivappa Devadiga and Anni Parava were killed in separate accidents reported from Surathkal and Bantwal rural police station limits on Wednesday. Surathkal police said a lorry hit Shivappa, at Hosabettu along NH-17, causing him serious injuries. Shivappa succumbed to injuries sustained on the way to the hospital. A motorcyclist hit Anni, a resident of Pilimogaru village in Bantwal taluk at Vagga Kavalapadoor village. Anni succumbed to injuries at the district Wenlock Hospital where he was admitted for treatment.
