MANGALURU: Samanvaya Manujamatha WhatsApp group in association with Sahamatha Film Society, Mangaluru, will organize a two-day residential film festival 'Mangalore Cine Habba' at the Canara Organisation for Development and Peace (CODP) Hall, Paduva Nanthoor here from August 6. Veteran film maker and theatre activist Sadananda Suvarna will inaugurate the festival.
A fee of Rs 850 will be charged per participant for boarding and lodging for two-days. For locals, the fee if Rs 500 as food expenses. As there are limited seats, interested can register their names in advance to confirm participat ion. The films that will be screened are Chomana Dudi (1975) Kannada, directed by BV Karanth; Fandry (2013) Marathi, directed by Nagaraj Manjule, Papillio Budha (2013) English d irected by Jayan K Cherian.
The other films are Schwarzfahrer (1993) German directed by Pepe Danquart; That day before everyday (2013) directed by Anurag Kashyap, Don't judge people on their appearance by Ivan D'Silva, Tulunada Siri (1971) Tulu directed by K N Tailor; Tamas , first episode, 2013, Hindi by Govind Nihalani; Gurmit Singh ki Vasiyath in Hindi by Nada Maninalkur and To kill a Mocking Bird (1962 English) . 9448073330.
