11 home stay accused get bail

MANGALORE: The Second Additional District Session Court has granted bail to 11 accused in the homestay attack case and they were released from the district jail on Wednesday.
Those who got the bails are: Varun, Udaya, Kiran, Tharanath Alva, Jagadish Poojari, Nithin, Venu Gopal, Ramesh, Mahesh, Sandeep Shetty and Arun.
Police had arrested 34 out of 44 accused including Kasturi Newz reporter Naveen Soorinje and local TV channel reporter Sharan in connection with the attack that took place at Morning Mist home Stay in Padil in the outskirts of the city on July 28, 2012.Ten accused in the case are yet to be nabbed.
The state government had decided to withdraw the chargesheet filed against Naveen in the case.
