Two men get life sentence in a murder case

Madurai: Principal district court in Srivilliputhur has convicted and sentenced two men to undergo life imprisonment for murdering a man due to personal enmity in Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar district, in 2023. The prosecution case was that K Balamurugan, 32, a resident of ESI Colony in Rajapalayam, was attacked with billhooks by M Ravikumar and M Marimuthu and killed. The Rajapalayam south police registered a case and subsequently arrested the duo. After completing the investigation, police filed the final report before the court. On Friday, principal district judge K Jeyakumar convicted and sentenced the accused to undergo life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on them.
