Stir to revamp Institute of Social Sciences

Madurai: The committee members of the Save Madurai Institute of Social Sciences staged a protest on Wednesday in front of the regional joint director of the collegiate education office in Madurai condemning the interference of members who were under suspension in the administration of the institute.The committee members demanded that the regional director has to implement all the corrective measures to revamp the college administration and take actions on the suspended administration members. M Nagarajan, general secretary of MUTA, said that the college should be run in the name of Madurai Institute of Social Science instead of Captain D.V Raja Bama College. Regional joint director of collegiate education Pon Muthuramalingam said that a special officer will be appointed to administer the college to revamp the administration.TNN
