Stalin inaugurates mini-Tidel park in Tuticorin
Madurai: Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated a mini-Tidel park in Tuticorin on Sunday. The 63,000sqft building constructed at 32.5 crore has modern facilities including spacious parking space, a food court, a gym, an auditorium, and an uninterrupted power supply to host IT companies. After inaugurating the park, the chief minister posted on X that the first Tidel Park in South Tamil Nadu, at Tuticorin, marks a new chapter of opportunity, creating a pathway for young talent. "With the Pattabiram Tidel park and Tidel Neo projects in Villupuram, Thanjavur, Salem, and Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu's growth story continues. Tidel parks across the state are generating thousands of jobs, driving inclusive and equitable progress under the Dravidian model," he mentioned on his X handle. According to a statement from the govt, following the footsteps of former chief minister M Karunanidhi, who set up the mega Tidel park in Chennai in 2000, chief minister M K Stalin decided to launch mini-Tidel parks in Villupuram, Tirupur, Vellore, Thanjavur, Tuticorin, Salem, and Karaikudi, besides Tidel parks in Trichy and Madurai. The mini-Tidel park inaugurated in Tuticorin is expected to provide jobs to hundreds of local youngsters and would be a major milestone for IT sector growth in the city, it added. Earlier, MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and ministers Geetha Jeevan, Anitha Radhakrishnan received the CM when he reached Tuticorin. Minister T R B Rajaa, MLAs, and officials were present at the event.
