Police hold grievance meet

Madurai: A total of 318 grievance petitions were received from the public at a special grievance meet organised by the Madurai city police at a hall in Teppakulam on Wednesday. The meet was organised for residents from areas under the limits of the temple range of the city police. The meet presided over by city police commissioner J Loganathan was attended by all senior officials and inspectors of police stations under temple range. Ensure one-stop solution to grievances of people, commissioner tells officials

The divisional commissioner of Lucknow, Roshan Jacob, has made it compulsory for government officials to attend a monthly grievance redressal camp. The officials are expected to coordinate and find lasting solutions to the issues raised during the meeting. The camp will be held at the Lucknow Development Authority office and will be attended by the district magistrate. Officials from various departments, including PWD, Lesa, and LMC, have been directed to address civic amenity issues such as poor roads, sanitation, power outages, and traffic congestion. The commissioner emphasized the importance of easy access to public services through quick resolution of grievances.
