Man injured in petrol bomb attack

MADURAI: A 30-year-old

man

from

Madurai

sustained burn injuries when a petrol bomb was hurled on him by a gang. The incident took place on the city outskirts on Tuesday night.


The

injured

person was identified as M Karuppasamy from Keelapudur near Rajampadi. According to a police officer privy to the inquiry, P Ranjithkumar, 21, from the same village had enmity with the trio over a minor issue. He along with his friends S Boobalan, 21, from Ellis Nagar, A Poornanesan, 21, M Dineshkumar, 21, both from Vickramangalam and G Suresh, 22, from Kalavasal were involved in the incident. They were lodged in prison.
