Man held for stealing jewels
Police arrested a 35-year-old man who allegedly stole gold jewellery from patients in various hospitals.
Police also seized 23 sovereign gold jewels from the man identified as R Muthukumar, a native of Indira Nagar in Sivakasi.
A special team formed to probe complaints of jewellery being stolen from various city hospitals found Muthukumar standing in a suspicious manner near Aravind Eye Hospital in Anna Nagar.
