ITBP sub-inspector dies after falling at Madurai airport
MADURAI: A sub-inspector belonging to the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp at Idayapatti in Tamil Nadu died of on Wednesday night after falling at Madurai airport.
The deceased has been identified as H Surendar Singh, 50, from Haryana. He landed at Madurai airport from his native place around 10am on Wednesday.
The official collapsed while standing in a queue for Covid-19 screening.

A medical team at the airport checked Surendar. Later, he was shifted to a private hospital.
A police source said the sub-inspector had suffered internal bleeding in his head after collapsing at the airport.
The body was shifted to the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai (GRH).
Surendar’s family members were informed about his demise. The Perungudi police registered a case.
