. The Coastal Security Guard (CSG), Chennai, informed

ICG

about the incident. ICG in Mandapam deployed a hovercraft to rescue the men and their boat.
The hovercraft spotted the boat about 12 nautical miles south of

Pamban

and south of Musal Theevu. The fishermen were taken on board and were provided with first aid, food and water before they were brought to the land and handed over to CSG at Mandapam. Their boat was towed to the nearest fishing harbour for repair with help from another fishing boat that was nearby. tnn
