Four of family die as bus hits autorickshaw in Tamil Nadu

MADURAI: Four members of a family died when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus hit an autorickshaw they were travelling in at Kondamanayakkanpatti on the Theni -Madurai road on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Sendrayan, 40, of Allinagaram in Theni district, his wife Sudha, 35, their children Manikandan, 9, and Abhinaya, 7.
Sendrayan’s mother-in-law, Ponnuthai, 55, and auto driver Ramu, who suffered injuries in the accident, were admitted to Theni Medical College Hospital.
The accident happened when Sendrayan, who was running a teashop at Allinagaram, and his family members were going to a temple at Nallathevanpatti near Usilampatti.
The Andipatti police registered a case. Bus driver Karuppasamy was detained for inquiry.
