Four die of H1N1, fever in Madurai

Three people, including a one-year-old boy who had tested positive for H1N1, died in Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai due on Sunday and another died in a private hospital.

MADURAI: Three people, including a one-year-old boy who had tested positive for H1N1, died in Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai due on Sunday and another died in a private hospital.
Sakthivel, 1, son of Murugan of Thiruchuzhi in Virudhunagar district, died in GRH on Sunday morning. He was admitted to a private hospital and later brought to the GRH. He tested positive for H1N1, according to the dean Dr D Marudhupandian.
Three other patients, including Vijayalakshmi,45, of Alagarkoil and Chitra,54, of Venkatachalam of Arikudi in Sivaganga district, died in the hospital.

However, the dean ruled out the deaths due to H1N1 and dengue.
Pandiarajan, 49, of Kallikudi in Madurai district who had been admitted to a private hospital, died of suspected H1N1 on Sunday.
