Special transport for devotees
To handle the large influx of pilgrims, 550 special buses, three temporary bus stands, and extensive parking for over 30,000 vehicles have been arranged across Tuticorin’s key approach roads.
Massive security deployment
Over 6,100 police personnel and 550 fire and rescue staff with 20 fire engines will be deployed to ensure safety and crowd control across the temple, beach, and city zones
Medical preparedness in place
Twenty medical camps, 108 ambulances, and a mobile emergency unit have been stationed strategically. Health teams will operate round the clock to handle any emergencies.
Sea rescue operations activated
Ten rescue boats and 20+ trained swimmers are on standby to prevent mishaps near the seashore. A mock drill was also held to check readiness for sea-related emergencies.
Drone and watchtower monitoring
Drone surveillance and five watchtowers have been installed to monitor the crowd and detect any suspicious activity, helping the police coordinate real-time crowd management.
Temple ceremony and rituals
The 11th of the 12 kaala yagams was completed Sunday. The consecration ceremony will begin at 7 AM on Monday, followed by 48 days of mandala pujas inside the sacred Subramaniaswamy Temple.
Devotee viewing zone arranged
A massive beachfront zone with 50,000 capacity and large LED screens has been set up near the rajagopuram, allowing devotees to witness the ceremony comfortably and safely.
