CII MEDex showcases healthcare innovations

Madurai: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Madurai Zone hosted the 7th edition of CII MEDex, a healthcare conference and exposition, in Madurai on Saturday. Themed "Shaping the Future of Healthcare through Technovation," the event showcased cutting-edge medical technologies and brought together industry experts.
The CII Madurai Zone's Healthcare and Well-being Panel highlighted advancements in telemedicine, electronic medical records (EMRs), nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence (AI), which are transforming diagnostics, treatment personalization, and patient engagement. The panel also stressed the growing importance of value-based care, cybersecurity, and evidence-based medical practices.
Ashwin Desai, vice-chairman of CII Madurai Zone, said the event provided a crucial platform for healthcare professionals and innovators to exchange insights and explore the latest medical technologies. "This reinforces Madurai's role as an emerging hub for healthcare innovation," he noted.
Madurai Medical College Dean L Arul Sundaresh Kumar also participated in the event.
