BJP president, Maha Suseendran has submitted a petition to
Tamil Nadu south zone inspector general of police Asra Garg seeking action against Madurai MP Su Venkatesan and actor
Suriya Sivakumar's family for alleged preferential treatment while they visited Keeladi museum in Sivaganga district on Saturday.
In a statement, Suseendran said that actor Suriya’s family along with MP visited the museum at 9.30am before it was opened to the public at 10am
Suriya and his family were said to have been inside the museum for more than an hour-and-a-half, and no one was allowed to enter until they left.
School children who were on an excursion were forced to stand in the scorching sun until Suriya’s family left the museum, said Suseendran.
Suseendran in his petition said that the police should take action against the actor’s family, the MP and the museum staff after investigation.
