ABVP holds cultural harmony programme

Madurai: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Thiagarajar College of Arts and Science conducted a cultural harmony programme for students from North East India on the college campus in Teppakulam on Sunday.
As part of the Students Experience in Interstate Living (SEIL) initiative of ABVP, thirty students from seven states of the North East visited Thiagarajar College.
R Gopi, Southern Tamil Nadu Secretary of ABVP, said that SEIL is a perfect platform for cultural exchange and it also helps in spreading the feeling of patriotism among the students. The students from North East also shared their experience of staying in Madurai for the last four days.
Padma Shri Gobalan Vasudevan, known for his invention of plastic roads, was the chief guest.
