Youth’s body fished out of Satluj river

LUDHIANA: The body of a 19-year-old youth, who has allegedly drowned in the

Satluj

river, was fished out on Wednesday afternoon. He has been identified as Khushpal Singh of Puneet Nagar, Tajpur Road. It is alleged that on Monday afternoon, he and his friend had gone to the river to take a bath.

, said that on Tuesday evening, the youth’s family approached the police with a complaint that the youth had drowned in the canal. The police reached the spot and started searching for the boy with the help of divers. After fishing out his body, cops sent it to the
