Youth shot at: 8 booked for murder bid
Ludhiana: Four days after a youth was shot at near a vegetable market in Bahadurke area, the Salem Tabari police have registered a case against five identified and three unidentified accused for a murder bid.Those booked are Naresh Sethi, Kannu, Jatin, Vikram, Sandeep, and their three unidentified accomplices. The police have registered a case on the complaint of Jaskirat Singh alias Gaggu, a resident of Azad Nagar on Bahadurke Road, under the BNS and the Arms Act.The complainant said that on October 21, he, along with his friends Rihan, Gautam, Viney, and Raja Sinah, was going home on their respective bikes and scooters. As they reached near the vegetable market, the accused, who were already present there, started firing at them following an old rivalry. A bullet hit Raja Sinah on his leg, and he fell on the road. As they stopped to pick him up, the accused assaulted them.ASI Harcharan Singh said the police have registered a case of murder bid against the accused. The police are conducting raids to arrest them.
