Yes to politics, no to distancing?

Jalandhar: Social distancing norms were completely ignored by Shiromani Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders who submitted a memorandum addressed to the Punjab governor to Jalandhar deputy commissioner Ghanshyam Thori. The memorandum was on the issue of revision in blue card lists.

They sat close to each other during a dharna held outside the District Administration Complex. Some of them were not even wearing masks. Afterwards, they crowded the office of the deputy commissioner.

MLAs Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Baldev Singh Khaira, Pawan Teenu, BJP former minister Manoranjan Kalia and former chief parliamentary secretary K D Bhandari were also present.
