Son of Subhash Chander and Nirmal Dahuja, Manish said: “On September 12, I went to a private hospital for treatment of cough and cold. Since the problem persisted, I approached another private hospital, where I was asked to get admitted.”
The doctors suspected swine flu.

Manish was kept on ventilator and he remained unconscious for a week. “My parents, wife Pooja, brothers Jatinder and Saurav, business partners Rajan Joshi, A P Singh and Amit Kanjia looked after me,” he said.
“I regained consciousness on September 22 or 23 and was discharged on September 27,” he added. “I would advise people to rush to a specialist whenever they suffer a particular ailment,” he added. His business partner Rajan said, “When he was put on ventilator, the doctors told us his lungs had given up and were only 10% efficient. He was given Tamiflu. I believe almighty played a vital role in saving Manish’s life.”
