Navjot Singh Sidhu, against whom the world of mafia had stood with a motive to eliminate him politically.
Dr Gandhi, who has already said goodbye to electoral politics but announced to support Congress candidates and some clean candidates of the Sanyukt

, said, “I have been active in Punjab politics for the last 20 years. The entire mafia world has come together to eliminate Sidhu politically.”
“The borders of Punjab should be opened for business with countries in Central Asia and Middle East. Only Sidhu is raising his voice for the people of Punjab, so that farmers and traders benefit in the state. Punjab wants peace with neighbouring nations, but leaders of AAP and other parties are giving anti-Pakistan statements. I have many differences with
Sidhu, who also seems to be egoistic, but his love and vision for Punjab cannot be ignored. I have decided to campaign in his favour and tell people to save such a visionary man who can help Punjab come out of crisis. I would go to Amritsar and campaign for him,” said Dr Gandhi.
