Ditch Jeans: Shorts, three-fourth trousers, and skirts are the best alternatives to full-length jeans, palazzos and tights. Shorts can be paired with tank and crop-tops in rain-friendly materials like chiffons and georgettes and other synthetic materials.
Dynamic and bright colours: Wear vibrant colours like tints and shades of red, green, blue, pink, and they will make you feel rejuvenated and flamboyant. "Misty and foggy weather sometimes bring monsoon blues with it. I always wear dresses with comfortable silhouettes like skirts and rompers in striking and eye-catching colours and prints," said Navish Gupta from Aggar Nagar.

Footwear: Investing in flip-flops, flats, sandals, and sneakers will give you the freedom to run, dance, and revel in the freedom of the monsoon. Going too heavy with elaborate footwear like heels, stilettos, or wedges is not advisable.
Accessories: Umbrellas in block colours are an absolute monsoon must-have. Waterproof tote bags and handbags will help you carry those extra monsoon essentials you might need on a rainy day. Scarves can be life saviours and keep you having a fashion faux pas in case your outfit becomes a little too transparent. Bright, printed, and patterned scarves are a major hit among city youth. Waterproof bold watches and plastic hand and neck accessories can make you look fun and fabulous.

CAUTION!
1. Opt for flats, strappy sandals, ballerinas, and flip-flops that will not spoil in the rain.
2. Avoid see-through outfits and colours like white and light pastels because they become transparent easily.
3. Opt for minimalistic make-up and make sure that your make-up is waterproof to keep it safe from humidity and rain.
4. Avoid leather and heavily embellished garments.
