Ludhiana: In another road rage incident in the city, two men on their way to deliver a parcel were thrashed by three men, who also damaged their pick-up van in Civil Lines.
Acting on the complaint of Mohit Kumar of Laxmi Nagar in Haibowal, division number 8 police lodged an FIR against three accused on Friday.

Mohit alleged that he along with his driver Deepak were going in a pick-up van to deliver a parcel of an e-commerce company to New Kundanapuri. When they reached near a tea stall near Civil Lines intersection, they saw a bike, parked on the road, blocking the way. He noticed three persons standing near the bike and requested them to give way. However, the men started hurling abuses and thrashed him and his driver. Moreover, the accused also vandalized his pick-up van before fleeing.
Sub-inspector Vijay Kumar said police had traced the registration number plate of the bike on the basis of which two accused were identified as Dipanshu and his brother Jaanu, while another accused is yet to be identified. A case under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 334 (voluntarily causing hurt on provocation) and 506 (Criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered.
